Thank you for including CAREGIVERS: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly in your philanthropy. By making a contribution that is meaningful to you, you are not only improving the life of a senior, you are having a direct impact on Ventura County which boasts one of the largest concentrations of seniors in the nation! CAREGIVERS is a community-based solution that has been providing successful results since 1984. Writing a check is still the most common form of making a donation in the world, but it’s not the ONLY opportunity you have to support the good work of CAREGIVERS.
Your annual gift of $500 helps underwrite the cost of providing ongoing volunteer support and services to one of the seniors served by CAREGIVERS. You will receive a biannual newsletter and invitations to special events throughout the year.
Many companies will match charitable gifts by employees. Don’t forget to ask your company for matching gift forms. In some cases, corporate matches can double the impact of your contribution!
CAREGIVERS promotes two annual campaigns: The Good Deed Doer Campaign and our Year-End Campaign. You may designate your gifts to us as an outright gift or payroll deduction. If you donate through United Way, please designate your gift for CAREGIVERS: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly. If you would like to donate stock, click here for stock transfer paperwork.
Let us know you have included us in your legacy plans so we can properly document and honor your plans. Remembering CAREGIVERS in your estate plans is a very special way to provide a permanent memorial and continue to serve seniors in Ventura County, one of the largest concentrations of seniors in the nation. Your estate planner or attorney can advise you of the many options available.
Naming CAREGIVERS: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly as part beneficiary of your life insurance policy is a very easy way to help.
A gift of appreciated real estate or securities may offer substantial tax deductions and greatly increase your giving opportunity. Your tax advisor can guide you on the tax incentives. If you would like to donate stock, click here for stock transfer paperwork.
Donate your vehicle (car, truck or boat) to CAREGIVERS.
Your car will be picked up and DMV paperwork completed. After deducting the cost of marketing and towing, CAREGIVERS will receive 100% of the net proceeds. By supporting CAREGIVERS in any of these ways, you will help to ensure that this vital assistance will be available in the future to others who may need it, perhaps a member of your own family, or even you, yourself.
CAREGIVERS will provide a letter of thanks that meets the IRS standards for tax deductions. We are a 501 (c) 3 charity and a registered California corporation eligible for charitable gifts. If you wish to provide a gift in honor or in memory of someone, just let us know the name and address, and we will advise the family that a memorial or honorarium gift has been provided by you. Our legal name is CAREGIVERS: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly and our IRS identification number is 77-0081692.
